They are nameless, but the professional ballet dancers of the late 1800s figure significantly into Danskin's history. These dancers motivated the Danskin family to go into the business of quality dancewear making better tights and dance wear than was available at the time. Who were these women? What would it take to be a professional dancer in 1882? Undoubtedly, she was intrepid, resolute and had a vision for the future. We thank these dancers for helping to build the Danskin legacy and inspiring our tradition of excellence. Their spirit lives on today in Danskin women. |
