Balmoral Castle is about to be seen from a whole new perspective.

King Charles III is officially opening up the storied Scotland estate to the public for the first time ever, inviting visitors to take a tour inside the sprawling property that has long served as a beloved vacation spot for the royal family.

Tourists will be able to explore several rooms inside the castle—including the very rooms used today by Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla—while following along with “experienced” professional guides, according to the official website for Balmoral Castle.

The unprecedented decision to open Balmoral to the public marks the first time tours will be given inside the castle for the first time since it was built in 1855.

Advertised as a “historical journey,” this opportunity will grant visitors the ability to “learn about the origins” of the castle, starting with the purchase of the estate by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. The interior tour promises to “travel through time” and show the public how Balmoral “has been loved by generations of the Royal family.”
